Elena Palossi

For over twenty years the decorator and stage designer Elena Palossi has been the proprietor of the Milanese workshop LargheVedute, a well-established enterprise in the city, known for the conception and realization of customized works and bespoke products.

Each project is the fruit of an enthusiastic effort of research and creative analysis that leads to a contemporary, evocative and poetic end product, always made strictly by hand. A stage designer, decorator, artist and craftswoman, Elena Palossi graduated in stage design in 1989 from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera and immediately embarked on a career in the world of the performing arts, becoming an assistant to Giorgio Cristini (director of staging at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan). In the 1990s her ability did not go unnoticed and she was first hired as a set decorator at Mediaset and then worked as assistant set designer for Gabriele Amadori on several TV commercials.

An important turning point in her career came in 1992 when, with Paolo Larici, she worked on the decorations for the restoration of Casa Casuarina in Miami, owned by the fashion designer Gianni Versace. This was the beginning of a long and fertile collaboration that led to her carrying out major decorative interventions in the designer’s homes: realizing Elena’s ability, Versace formed a working relationship with her that would lead to the young artisan designing some of the ‘home’ lines of his fashion house.

A professional with great experience in the design of high-end decorative furnishings and exclusive interiors, with an expertise that extends from the creative and stylistic phase to that of realization and installation, Elena Palossi’s mastery is recognized in the world of Italian interior design: important national publications like Living, Marie Claire, Il Corriere della Sera and Cose di Casa have devoted various articles to her creations.
