Mauro Crimi

Sartoria Crimi’s long history began in 1970 in Palermo. Founded by master Carmelo Crimi, the family-run business was able to endure the test of time thanks to the hard work of his son Mauro, born in 1975, who enthusiastically and passionately picked up this precious legacy.

Tailoring / Fashion and Accessories

The tailoring atelier owes its origins and its peculiar style to the historical era in which it was founded, when Palermo was a melting pot of Mediterranean and Anglo-Saxon style. In Sartoria Crimi’s creations the ancient traditions of Italian tailoring are mixed with British style. Mauro Crimi preserved the connection with his city’s history and continues creating entirely handmade and custom garments, perfect for the successful man who is aware of his own style and his place in society. This interpretation of menswear allowed Sartoria Crimi to become known all over the world, boasting an international clientèle fascinated by their custom tailoring and unique style.

The selection of exclusive textiles is another strong point: they always use only top quality fabrics and strictly natural fibres. Aristocratic English flannels, Tasmanian merino wool from Australia, woven in Biella’s finest looms, beautiful Scottish carded jackets, warm and exquisite cashmeres to make superb coats. Plus, Irish and Italian linens, silk shantungs, English cottons. Only the best draperies. And, of course, their distinctive cut: a signature modelling technique that begins with an anatomical study of each client and abides by the most ancient codified rules of the tailoring profession, while also customizing each creation.
