Roberto Rettani

Roberto Rettani, mechanic and vintage cars restorer, was born in Varese in 1965.

After his diploma as a Technician/Mechanic for custom-built and high-performance engines, he opened his own business specializing in repairing historical road racing vehicles employed in competitions, and servicing and modifying engines and transmissions, particularly those of pre-war vehicles. In 2009 he took part as a mechanic in what is probably any race professional’s dream, the Mille Miglia race – a special experience, different from any other competition. Rettani boasts numerous important collaborations: he worked as Racing Endurance Mechanic at Glickenhaus and as Racing WRC Mechanic at Ralliart. Since 2015, alongside managing his specialized workshop and tending to a vast clientele, appreciative of his great competence, Roberto Rettani collaborates with MTS – Motorsport Technical School, founded in Monza in order to meet the needs of the racing teams and provide them with highly specialized professionals.

He collaborates directly with official automobile manufacturers such as Yamaha Factory Racing, Ducati Corse and Porsche Carrera Cup Italia, not to mention his partnerships with renowned Italian excellence companies, such as Brembo, Pirelli and Dino Paoli. Roberto Rettani is the most multifaceted teacher at MTS, experienced in the field of street cars and historical vehicles’ repair and as a racing mechanic, both on the tracks and during rallies. He teaches the Auto Racing course and the “Vasco Ferrante” Mechanic course. A few years ago, he also became a national ACI CSAI technical commissioner.
