Marco Reitano

From Italy's most famous Pergola, the three-Michelin-starred one overlooking Rome's great beauty, comes the newest Master of Arts and Crafts' accolade, awarded to Marco Reitano, wine ambassador.

Gastronomy and Wine Sommellerie

With over 30 years of experience, today he officiates the ritual of drinking well (also culturally speaking) inside this emblematic location of international cuisine. He took his first steps in the fine dining world among the tasting routes created by the talented Heinz Beck, where his high professionalism didn't show through the mnemonic opulence of legendary labels, but through his genuine desire of showing his patrons the true meaning of conviviality, in all the elegance and beauty that comes from sharing such a special table.

Between mystic icons such as Pètrus 1945 or Lafite Rothschild 1922, and over 3000 labels enriching the wine list of the iconic restaurant “Rome Cavalieri”, located at Monte Mario, Reitano was able to define his own interpretative matrix in the world of sommellerie by sharing the heritage and culture of hospitality, education and competence. Testifying to his brilliant career, his position as Chevallier de L'Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne, Wine Spectator's Grand Award and the Best Sommellier award he received from the international guide Identità Golose. Reitano's recent Master of Arts and Crafts accolade was also motivated by his great passion for teaching and passing on his trade through countless training initiatives.
