Andrea Nardi
Andrea Nardi, born in Florence in 1979, belongs to a family of excellent craftsmen specializing in the field of leather. From a very young age he developed a passion for leather and exotic hides.
When he turned 20, he started training alongside master craftsmen and learning cutting techniques for countless materials. Back in 1946, two leather craftsmen from Florence, Mario Bianchi and Aldemaro Nardi, had decided to open a small workshop in down town Florence, determined to produce fine leather handbags employing crocodile, ostrich and lizard skin according to the most sophisticated Made in Italy craft tradition. During the Italian economic boom, Bianchi and Nardi moved their handbag production in Scandicci, which was rapidly becoming a renowned fashion district. Here, they keep developing and renewing their brand, combining craft tradition with innovative technologies. Their production is characterized by the selection of finest leathers, rigorously Italian tanning methods and the great care given to each step of the process.
Each handbag undergoes numerous quality checks along the way, coming to life in the hands of skilled craftsmen carrying out numerous processes exclusively by hand, such as threading, stitching an actual embroidery on the bags, or painting the brand's exclusive designs onto exquisite leathers, and many more. After 22 years of experience in this historical business, today Andrea Nardi is considered an extremely experienced technician, specialized in the study and cutting of exotic materials. In his work, classical Florentine craftsmanship meets a constant search for innovation and novelties. Andrea Nardi is also a teacher and he strives to pass on his historical know-how to younger generations. His excellent work won him numerous awards and recognitions.
