Cinzia Papucci

Cinzia Papucci, born in Florence in 1953, graduated in 1972 as Master of Arts at Porta Romana's Art School. From 1975 to 1982 she ran the craft business “Lungamora”, specialized in creative decorations on fabrics and other materials, employing different techniques.

Glass / Crystal

In 1985, she joined Studio Guido Polloni – Vetrate artistiche (Guido Polloni Studio – Artistic stained glass), an historical atelier founded in 1919, working as a designer and sketch artist for stained glass and glass painting alongside her father, Prof. Sergio Papucci, who at the time was the Studio's artistic director. In 2011, after her father passed away, she became co-owner and art director of the Studio: her skilled hands are responsible for each creation's processing, from sketching to designing, all the way to glass painting, be it artistic stained glass or holy and secular furnishings. Among the many prestigious artworks created under her direction we can find the large chandeliers for Rome's Quirinale Palace and countless artistic stained glass windows for churches and religious institutions all over Italy and abroad. This artistic craft workshop is one of the most renowned in the field of artistic glass, capable of carrying out any project, for large or small spaces, either providing a custom design or adjusting to the client's project.

The studio boasts past and ongoing collaborations with artists, architects, interior designers. Its long standing experience shines in their contemporary creations, but also applies to the restoration of antique stained glass, for which the Studio regularly cooperates with the Superintendency for Architectural and Landscape Heritage in many cities. For years now the fame of Vetreria Polloni has conquered international grounds: they carried out numerous and significant works in Canada, USA, South America, Australia, Africa, Thailand, Japan and many other countries. In the course of its activity, the atelier received many prestigious honours and awards all around the world.
