Rosa Alba Impronta

President Fondazione Made in Cloister

After a degree in law, she became a board member of MAG Spa, an acknowledged and now leading Italian company dedicated to insurance brokerage. Passionate about contemporary art and high craftsmanship, in 2014, together with husband Davide de Blasio, she gave life to the Made in Cloister Foundation, where contemporary art meets craftsmanship in a cultural project dedicated to the architectural reconversion and urban regeneration of Naple’s city centre. The history behind the Foundation’s headquarters (set inside the abandoned Renaissance Cloister of Santa Caterina a Formiello) and its location naturally defined the reconversion project: recovering a part of Naples’ cultural heritage and devote it to the renewal of craft traditions with a contemporary spirit, developing projects featuring international designers and artists. Thanks to Rosa Alba Impronta and her family’s great passion and commitment, Made in Cloister soon became a reference point for the cultural and artistic life of the city, testifying to how art and culture can stem even from the most degraded setting through projects with a strong social impulse, in keeping with the territory’s heritage.
