Andrea Cancellato
Director ADI Design Museum
Business consultant born in Lodi in 1995, he held many prominent positions on the boards of important companies and institutions in the fields of manufacture (Federlegno, Federtessile, Clac, Material ConneXion Milano etc.), culture and design (Italturist, Federculture, Meet, Museo Diocesano). From 2002 to 2018 he was General Director of Triennale Milano, the celebrated museum dedicated to architecture, urbanism, design, decorative arts, fashion, crafts, industry and new media.
In January 2021 he became Director of ADI Design Museum – Compasso d'Oro, in Milan. ADI Design Museum was built around the entire repertoire of projects and artworks belonging to the historical collection of Compasso d'Oro awards, achieved over decades of activity: a national cultural heritage, recognized as "of exceptional artistic and historical interest" by the Ministry of Culture. Alongside the Permanent Collection, the museum hosts temporary exhibitions, multi-disciplinary initiatives and meetings open to the general public, striving to contribute to the circulation and promotion of design culture on a national and international level.
