Ugo La Pietra is an architect, artist, designer and an acknowledged researcher in the visual arts. His long activity is known through exhibitions, publications, and an intense academic presence in many universities. His artworks can be found in the most important international museums. In many decades of activity, Ugo La Pietra has promoted and still promotes all the main Italian artisanal areas with tireless passion and competence: he is the great mentor of the Italian arts and applied arts. He has worked with, and still works with, many workshops throughouth the Bel Paese, and to the artisans he has always brought the culture of design, meaningfully combined with great respect and love for craftsmanship. Fondazione Cologni's projects have often been inspired by his vision, always original and groundbreaking.
