Giulio Candussio
Giulio Candussio is a master mosaicist trained in the Spilimbergo tradition who pursues continuous experimentation. Since 2004, he has been the artistic director of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli, the vocational school for mosaicists he used to attend as a student in Spilimbergo. The spectacular pieces he designs – such as the mosaics in the Centro Ricerche Fiat in Turin and the mural Saetta Iridescente at the World Trade Center Station in New York – combine this ancient craft with contemporary art and new technology.
