Embroidery and Lace
Lucia Costantini was born on the island of Burano, Venice, the cradle of needle lace. She learned the craft at a young age. She begins by making a drawing on paper, which is either transformed into classic white or innovative polychrome lace. Costantini is listed in the Italian encyclopaedia Treccani. Recognised as art, her needle lace has been exhibited, published and awarded all over the world.
